Avon County Rowing Club run four successful events each year on our beautiful stretch of the River Avon including one Regatta and three Head races. These all have short and long course options which are very popular, catering for rowers of all abilities and attended by many regional clubs who enjoy racing for medals and glory on our beautiful river!
All events include Low CRI categories, providing opportunities for less experienced rowers to race.
Avon Spring Head
An opportunity for both small boats and big boats to race over either the 3.25km or 1.25km course.

A full day of side by side racing over 1000m down the beautiful Avon straight
Avon Bluefriars Head
Focused on smaller boats, this head race offers an excellent opportunity for scullers, sweep rowers and smaller crews to test themselves against the clock over either a 3.25km or 1.25km course.
Avon Bluefriars Small Boats Head
Avon Autumn Head
Our Autumn head rounds off our racing calendar and is a popular event for large boats (4s and 8s), raced over either a 3.25km or 1.25km course.
